Training material for the development of intercultural skills by parents

Training materials have been created for parents from the host society and with migrant/ refugee/ ethnic and cultural minority (ECM) background in order to foster their intercultural skills. The materials promote awareness of the complex and delicate issues involved in ECM pupil integration, and empower parents to successfully support the integration process. The training material is suitable for both trainer-facilitated face-to-face sessions and self-study.

Training material for host society parents is available in all partner languages. Materials for migrant/ refugee / ECM parents are available only in English.

The shortened versions have been added after the piloting sessions with parents. They are about half the size of the original versions, text is reduced and they do not include any assessment activities, group activities or references.

Note: Translations of the materials into other languages can be made freely by any organization interested. Please contact the project coordinators at olykek@olympiakokek.gr to learn more.
